"A Little Rest" 12x16 oil on linen
This painting was inspired by a recent trip to Charleston SC. We were in town for a couple of days for the opening of the Plein Air Painters of the Southeast, PAPSE, four gallery event. I was only able to paint one morning, but most of the members were there for the entire week. It was a short trip, but fun. Thank you to my host gallery, The Horton Hayes Gallery. They have a wonderful gallery and did great job opening night. This painting is a studio painting that I painted from gathered reference while in Charleston. Great city to visit and paint. Look forward to my next visit.
